This is what happens when uncouth barbarians collide with thread and felt

Druid
This was for a friend, Cat. She wanted a druid and gave me some ideas on what she wanted to see, this one was really fun - the leaves for the skirt gave it the final touch I wanted, and I thought that the staff with the hovering button was great!
Welcome to my blog where the Savage (me) has been loosed upon crafting materials!! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~I create all kinds of fun and barbaric creatures out of felt, thread, and imagination. Ideas are plundered from my uncivilized mind and then stitched up by hand, then embroidered with decorations and weapons. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
It’s a LOT of fun. Occasionally one of them even gets to draw some blood if I’m not watching where I’m working!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I free cut all my pieces with a couple of quick sketches to guide me as a pattern. Each one is slightly different in size and shape. I make a lot of these as gifts for my friends, but mostly, I like to create crazy little Vikings for my own enjoyment.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
They are best when they have a little story that goes along with, so I will try to share my original sketch, the story and the finished feltling with you here.
